Introduction
The Office of Industry-Academia Co-creation aims to strengthen Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem, enhance its global visibility, and contribute to the world by providing a trusted co-creation ecosystem.
To drive end-goal industry-academia planning, facilitate the development of the industry-academia ecosystem, and amplify the value of global industry-academia co-creation, NYCU established the Office of Industry-Academia Co-Creation. This initiative seeks to deepen NYCU’s contributions to industry-academia- collaboration and partnership, and expand its influence in this field. With a vision of an innovation-driven economy, the Office aims to build a NYCU-led innovative ecosystem bringing together resources from entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, corporations, and governments. By further collaborating with the global innovation ecosystem, it aims to cultivate resilient international talents to address opportunities and challenges arising from global competitions, technology trends and innovation.
The Office of Industry-Academia Co-creation was established to drive industry-academia-research co-creation through innovation, uniting the strengths of industry, academia, biomedicine, electrical and information engineering. By systematically consolidating innovative research and development achievements within NYCU, and fostering interdisciplinary, inter-university, and international industry-academia collaboration, it aims to achieve beneficial scenarios both for NYCU and industries. This initiative strengthens our industry-academia capabilities, amplifies its global influence and contributions, and establishes a balanced operational model that pursues innovation, academic excellence, and industry-academia co-creation value. The goals of the Office of Industry-Academia Co-creation are as follows:

- Build industry-academia networks and coordinate industry-academia collaboration resources.
- Coordinate key R&D teams in NYCU to align with global industry trends and demands, and provide innovative industry-academia matching services.
- Provide innovation and entrepreneurship support for academic faculty and students, and encourage innovative thinking and practices to nurture innovative and entrepreneurial talents.
- Promote technology transfer and intellectual property management to accelerate the transformation of academic research results into tangible products and services, and drive knowledge and technology transformation.
- Recruit international-level members and promote global industry-academia collaborations.
