Every researcher needs a professional intellectual property (IP) broker, who acts as the most loyal companion on the path of IP utilization and commercialization, providing researchers with the most professional IP services, striving to maximize the benefits for both the university and the researchers, safeguarding their rights, and even becoming a key figure in enhancing Taiwan’s economic competitiveness.
As one of the top academic research institutions in Taiwan, and even globally, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is committed to ensuring that your groundbreaking research, which can improve human lives, drive industrial upgrades, and promote economic and social development, is optimally utilized under the guidance of our professional IP team.

Our main tasks include:
- Assisting in convening the R&D Results Evaluation Committee to ensure high-quality patent applications
- Exploring patent technology exports and planning for international competitiveness
- Valuing and investing in patent technologies
- Establishing and adequately maintaining an IPR Management System
- Arranging patent and technology transfer capacity-building courses for researchers
- Actively promote R&D results and facilitate the signing of technology transfer or industry-academia collaboration agreements
- Providing professional and efficient internal administrative procedure support, such as patent applications, maintenance, interest distribution of licensing, remittance of technology transfer income to the Executive Yuan National Science and Technology Development Fund, and deferred taxes applications
- Connecting external resources, such as patent, valuation, law, and accounting firms
- Updating internal IP-related regulations to keep up with the times
